My sister sponsors my mother and me (her brother). I don't know how to count the size of family unit, so I can know the LICO requirement for my sister.
My sister is married, she and her husband have no children together.
My dad and my brother (31 years old, married) are non-accompany with us to Canada.
How do i count the size?
Is it 4 (my sister, her husband, my mom, me) ?
Or do i must include the non-accompanies (my dad and my brother), so is it 6?
Their combine income is 45000 dollars. Is it enough?
Which one is right?

hello frnds..recvd an e-mail from delhi regarding file reached at delhi. now my question is that this
mail is an AOR nd now we recv medical reqst? plz reply

that is correct. usually it takes a few months after the AOR to receive medical request.

thanks, ranja, for your reply. But are you so very sure? Because this income thing has been making me so worried. The process is closed to finalization as stated in the letter Singapore office sent to us. They want to re-assess the eligibility of my sister as a sponsor. I'm so worried and don't know if it's 4 or 6, I don't know if there's any documentation mentioning about how to count, do they count non-accompany members ?

Am very sure. When i sponsored my mom, I only calculated only for a family size of 3 (me, wife and mother) and since I was in school we barely made enough for a family of 3. I had a sister back home too but since she was non-accompanying, she was not considered in the income calculation.

best of luck.

thanx for reply..we recvd AOR after six months as it show on ecas that 'we mai u a letter on 29 jan 2013'. how many months it will take for medical?

ranja, how about your father, did you count your father ?

He only had single mother to sponsor, to answer your query on income - its only for total ppl in Canada ( sponsor and intended family ) - not the entire family

He passed away a couple of decades ago. Only sponsored mom since sister had no intentions of coming here.

I'm getting confused now. I asked this question on the "Family Class Sponsorship" section about the size of family unit. Two people replied my question for my case that the size is 5. They said i must also count my father, although he is not accompanying with us to Canada.

I NEED HELP
Specially from kandel AND tony.patti

i told you before about our application was received by CPC-M on 21 May 2008

and that tym my age was
17 years, 11 months, 27 days

my sister age was
21 years, 8 months, 28 days

"so it means our age is locked in" but on 25 nov 2011 we entered Type-B dependent for both in dependents coloums in Generic_App_Form_IMM0008

And now we have to send addition info , schedule-A & Generic_App_Form_IMM0008 again with passports.

WHAT SHOULD WE CHOOSE IN DEPENDENTS TYPE A or B
COZ WE ARE OVER 22 AT THE PRESENT TIME...

PLZ RESPOND FRIENDS..

Its only the folks who will be in Canada, just apply the logic

You need to enter Type A dependent. because at the time of initial application both of u were Type A dependents.
Therefore for the purpose this application you will always stay Type A dependent as long as you stay single.

Yes i agree with Tony and i also put type A for my brother even though he turned 23 but im also sending his school and university certificates plus letter from his current uni that he is regular student. You should too but if you r not studying then its ok too don't send anything.
