Hi BMM when you fill out application did you request Ottawa office to process,I am asking as I did this but they still send my mothers application to her country local office and not Ottawa ,my mom is here on super visa as well.I apply to extend her stay in October as well.Not sure why they send application back home to process when my mom is in Canada] and I clearly send proof of her status.Did you write a separate letter to request to process in Ottawa.Please let me know,thanks.

would you mind sharing your timeline.
when did they send your mother's file to country local office.
there was one person who mentioned his file was sent to London office last week othwise it seems everyone else is being sent to Ottawa so far.

Hey guys, I sponsered my parents oin Dec.2006 and file was transfer to New Delhi feb.2010 my parents submit the application from there side in sept.2012 cause we had issues with getting my moms passport nd that took forever.. New Delhi started the process on Nov. 29th 2013. My parents got medical request in August 2014 and medical done dec.15 2014.. Now they got landing fee recipet requeston jan.15 2015 (which I paid in dec. 2006 along with my application) but no passport request.. I was wondering why they didn't ask for passport along with LFR. Cause I was reading here and mostly people wrote that passport was requested along with the medical but for my parents they didn't ask for passport with medical or with landing fee request. What does that mean??? It's gonna take more time for them to request the passport like another 6months??? Any idea guys???

File transferred in February 15 2010. My mom passport was expired and it was given for renewal but you know our great India... Nothing is possible until they make u wait nd wait make ur life hell.. My moms passport was renewed in New York before and they kept saying they have sent inquiry to New York nd waiting for response for 2 years... Even we got New York passport office to send back the inquiry 2 times... They just wanted money thts it... So finally got the passport after 2 years.. Then they filed the paperwork cause they couldn't do pcc/fingerprinting or medical without the passport...

When ND ask to submit passport.. Is the the final step nd they get the stamp for visa??? Nd when will that day come... It's been almost 9 years since I have sponsored them... Just mom and dad no dependants

Do not argue with fee. just pay what they ask. you may save few hundred $ by wasting your and there time but that is not worth delaying the case.
I think you will get passport request soon. Now they fee and upon receiving a fee then they send passport request same happened with my cousin FSW case.

I received an email from LVO saying they received application for permanent resident for my Mom.
Sponsoship approval was received just 8 days ago.
I applied in August 2010
Sent additional documents in September 2014.
I think next step will be medical request and passport submission.

What date of sep you submitted additional documents. Mine were recieved on sep 12 and still waiting for sponsorship approval.

Hello everyone,

I sponsored my mom (single and no dependent) from Vietnam in 2015. CIC just returned my application because it stated that the payment fee form was missing. I checked the application checklist 3 times and had my sister check it before I mailed it out. My cheque and the form (IMM5770) was the the package. When I opened the returned package from CIC, the cheque and the form were in the package. I have no idea whey they couldn't see that form when checking my application package. I'm 100% sure that it must have been a human error in the document screening process. The application is close now. I'm so freaked out.

Have anyone got into the same situation like me? Can you advise what I should do now? I've found the Sponsorship Appeal Process on cic website. I wonder if anyone in the forum has encounter the same situation as me and can shed some light for me?

I really appreciate any inputs from the forum.

It is a mystery. Our file was transferred to London Office in Jan 2014, and still no medical or request for any docs. Hopefully soon.

We applied in Dec 2009.
