why cic taking so much tym in processing even they said they r cutting backlogs ....2010 peoples r waiting for documents it has been 4 yrs still did not get..

And frst 5 months of 2010 even did mot get any medical rqiest .. Can anybody tells how much tym time more to wait ....!! Wt r there timings for medicals

Our file was sent to London in Dec and it says in GMC notes that they received the physical file on Feb 28th, 2014. In notes it also says in File: PUT AWAY, I don't know what it does mean. Our application was filed in Dec 2009, and original location was ISB. Anyone knows in how long should we be getting medical and police certificates request?

I have seen few users here that their cases transferred to ISB including myself, its their decision to redistribute the load from ISB to London and they decide what case to transfer. Nobody would know which office is faster than other. If someone says that London is faster than ISB or vice versa it would just be a guess and it all depend case by case.

did you received any letter from either isb or london requesting documents e.g. police cert.? first they ask additional documents which include police cert. or PCC and if everything is ok then next step is medical. i think put away means that you are in queue or first they deal with older files then your turn but i might be wrong.
we pass the 1st step and waiting for 2nd step which is medical, our case is june 2009 so i think you will have to wait bit more.

I am not really sure - but do you mean I could get the MP to get information about my file?

Are they willing to do it for me? My parent have done medical and it has been expired for 2 years and still hear nothing from the visa office.

I have submitted a GCMS note this Monday and waiting for their reply now.

I have another question: after the police check than I found out my dad does not have a clean police records, he did something really minor when he was young like flighting and he was brought to the police and that was the records.

Would this kind of stuff affect his application?

yes you can contact your local MP and they will do the inquiry on your behalf but do this after you receive the gcms notes so then you will know if there is any difference in information between gcms and MP if both are same then contact MP office again and tell them that you need more info.
i am not sure about criminal record question and dont know how indian criminal system works. so the his record shows on police certificate?
i would read the inadmissiabilty reason on cic.gc.ca website.

Yes, if they are from a visa exempt country or applied in Canada.

No we haven't been asked for Police Certificate yet. I am not sure how long it would take.

You might be looking somewhere from 1 - 2 years if there is no interruptions in your case. Do you have any dependents, over or under 22?

I have sponsored only mother and father
My husband & I have co-signed the application and we are a family of 5. But our eligibility is ok to sponsor. Now I really don't know about the process in London. I have submitted the application with Landing fees and police clearance certificates for both of them. Please advise of the next steps.
