Dear All,

My elder sister is PR in CANADA and I am also planning to apply. But there is a name mismatch between her passport and other documents with mine.

In her passport and other documents our parents name spelled as

Father's Name : Ferdouse
Mother's Name : Morsheda

And In My Passport and other documents it spelled as

Father's Name : Ferdous
Mother's Name : Mursheda

I bold the letter/word for easy finding.

Now, using her reference into my application will cause any problem? OR I need to change names according to her document.(it will take long time to change)

does anybody face such problems?

I need advise.

Thanks.

Do you have her birth certificate? You can attach her BC showing common parents, provided the names are correct.

As long as your native language doesn't use latin alphabet you're OK.
@anarsoul that's interesting.. Can you please elaborate a bit more on that answer. I am really curious. So if there is a typo in English native language comes into picture?

Even i am curious to know this. If this is true, it could potentially save many applicants from typo nightmares.

I was in the same situation too when i applied. My sis is a permanent resident but on her birth certificate my mum's name was written in full, but in mine, it was written in short form. I wrote a letter of explanation where i explained the reason for the difference in names. I think that's really all you can do at this point. I haven't gotten PPR yet but i have received my GCMS notes and there doesn't seem to be any red flags regarding that discrepancy. So, write a detailed letter of explanation and you should be fine! :)
