Parents have TRV and want to apply TRV for children to accompany them

Both my husband and I got our TRVs approved a few months ago but had to delay our travel plans due to work commitments. Now that the summer break of our children is around the corner we would like to travel together as a family to USA and Canada. We all have valid US visas, however, the children do not have their visas for Canada.
Can I apply online for their visas? In this case who will be the PA since the oldest child is 14 years old and the younger one is 12? The checklist that is coming up after creating the online profile is quite confusing for the documents that are required for minors applying. Could anyone please guide about what documents I should provide?

Yes, you can.

As your children are under the age of 18, you must sign their forms (you're not applying for a TRV again, of course)

What documents has the checklist suggested?

Cool, if you choose to provide a cover letter, not a bad idea to explain that. Totally optional though.

Thank you so much Bryanna for your prompt response!

The checklist asks for two documents about which I would to have like more clarity:
  1. Proof of Financial Resource of Supporter
  2. Proof of means of Financial Support
How are these two documents different? Which documents should I add to these folders? Does this mean that both my husband and I have to provide our employment letters, pay slips, bank statements and property documents all over again?

In which folder should I upload the letters from their schools verifying that they are studying in that particular school back home.

Also a folder asks for "Proof of Relationship" to the host in Canada.
In this applicant's case the host is the paternal Aunt. Establishing relationship of her with my kids is a complicated process. I do have the family registration form "Form B" of my husband and his sister in Canada but that does not establish the children's relationship to their paternal Aunt directly. Furthermore that happens to be in our national language of Urdu. I had opted for "no" option for "Proof of Relationship" in Canada but this document is still being required in the checklist provided. Should I just attach whatever proof I have even if its not translated?

Keenly awaiting your advise

Hi still hopeful, were u successful in gaining ur kids trv?
Unfortunately not. Just got a refusal last week on the following reasons:
1. Family ties in Canada and country of residence
2. Purpose of travel

It’s quite upsetting for the whole family since

No we’re not reapplying. We had submitted all the required documents. The reasons that they’ve given are very lame which I don’t believe can be challenged since it’s entirely based at the visa officer’s discretion. The kids have been travelling to USA with us during their summer breaks in the past but again trying to convince them might just end up in a futile effort.
However, my spouse and I are planning on visiting Canada for a couple of weeks this summer. Perhaps our visit and returning to our home country might give us a better chance in reapplying for the kids next summer and in convincing the visa officer of our “family ties” in our country of residence

Had you applied online trv for both the children in single account or created different accounts for both the kids ?

Same account for both the kids. The older one was shown as the principal applicant
I am also applying for my 1.5 and 6 year old children since our (parents) trv approved 6 months ago but did not travelled yet.
So need some tips for applying for children.

Although we parents had both attached employment letters, very strong bank statements and also our property documents but it did not work out for us. It all depends on your luck but my advise is do give it a try. On the other hand it might be a good idea if both you and your spouse make a trip and return home and then apply for your children’s visas. This way the VO might have some reassurance that you’ll exit the country on your next family visit
