My parents had pr card expired in 2008 no longer valid due to not having 730 days in Canada made an appeal was rejected. Are they able to apply for super visa i have all the required documents or do they still have to renounce their pr themselves regardless that they no longer have pr status?

Did they apply for a PRTD/PR Card, get denied, make an appeal, and get rejected?

If yes, then they don't need to renounce since they are no longer PRs. You can apply for their super visa.

Then their PR status should be rescinded and there is nothing to renounce. Apply for the super visa.

Losing your PR status does take some time due to administrative issues. Not sure when they applied for prtd and when they were denied their appeal.
