Hi everyone, pls how long is can one use police report issued in 2021. I am sponsoring my mom 2020 and police report is requested. I have a police report she did in 2021. Pls is that 2021 still valid or I have to do a new police report. Thanks

Hi all, wondering if any one can suggest a solution please. My mother ( PA in PGP 24) is physically seperated from my step father for three years now. They are not legally divorced nor in the process. Now CIC is asking for proof of seperation. However in India, there is no legal proof until you file for divorce. Any replies are much appreciated, thanks!

I'd provide the proof that is acceptable for Canada to proof separation (mailing addresses, affidavits, etc)

You only link your application using the Application number provided in your AOR.

Make sure you check each step, and the last question the # of family member should count yourself as well.

E.g. You're single and sponsor your mom and dad, it should be 3, NOT 2.

In the ADR, the text for SPR says this "As proof of relationship to the principal applicant, please provide your voter ID card, Aadhaar card and old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school certificate). If you are unable to provide these items, you may provide the principal applicant's Ration card, your Indian passports (expired and current) and/or OCI, and PAN/Income Tax card."

I don't have Voter ID card and Aadhar card. I can't find fifth class and middle standard school certificate or marksheets. I have the matriculation marksheet and secondary school certificate. So, decided to go alternate route. The confusion that I have is for the alternate route, do I need all those listed OR only some of those. For example, I have my expired Indian passport and OCI. But, I do not have PAN / Income Tax card and do not have applicant's ration card.

Can someone help me understand if I give OCI and expired Indian passport, is that good enough? At the most I can include the matriculation marksheet. Pls advise.

Yes , Send your OCI Card and your expired or cancelled Indian passport . That would be more than enough .

I received additional document received and they are asking for proof of relation (DEP) : As proof of relationship to your spouse please provide the Aadhaar and Voter's ID card for yourself and your spouse. NOTE: Affidavits are not acceptable as proof of relationship. If the document originally issued by a government authority was not in English or French, please provide a certified copy of both the document in the original language [birth/marriage/divorce/death certificate] along with a certified translation in English or French.. I do not have Aadhar card or voter ID, I submitted my marriage certificate as a proof of relationship to my spouse, not sure what else can I provide

Should be principle applicant's ... and The number of family should also count sponsor
