My Parent previous biometric(for visitor visa) is valid until 2029, should I still pay the fee and do it again for PR application? I am asking because of this:

You will need to pay for and then give your biometrics, even if you gave biometrics in the past to support a visitor visa, study or work permit application, or a different permanent resident application.

Yes seems like we have to give a biometric again :(

Some clarifications please:
1. Does the Principal Applicant need to open an account in Permanent Residence Portal even if he signed IMM5476 Use of Representative?
2. If yes, can the representative (also the sponsor), open and manage the account for him - submitting the application?
3. Are some forms need to be filled-up only in the Permanent Residence Portal?

Thank you all.

After following the required steps to see if you need to pay pr exempt. Your parents should be exempt. My parents biometrics are also valid until 2029 and got exempted

1. Principal Applicant no need to open an account. Because of #2.
2. Sponsor can help acting as Representative. There are two types of Rep accounts, make sure you open a non-paid rep account, as you are sponsor and family member
3. Both Applicant and Sponsor need to sign in the 5476 form

Hi everyone,
Could someone please help with Question 2 of IMM5669 - 'Your full name written in your native language'? My parents have tried copying and pasting their native language (Bengali) using google but it is showing up as a series of question marks on Adobe. How do we proceed? Can we just put it in a Letter of Explanation? There is no difference of their names in English vs. the native language

Thanks. I just found this https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ces/immigrate-canada/how-to-apply-online.html. So basically the representative couldn't submit the application online, only the Principal Applicant. Is my understanding correct?

If you want to appoint someone to do business with us on your behalf, you must:

An immigration representative (an immigration consultant or lawyer) can give you advice and help you with your application for a fee. But they can’t:

  • open a portal account on your behalf
  • sign the application for you
  • sign into the portal using your username and password
A representative can fill out forms and communicate with us on your behalf through their own account. They can also:

  • help you prepare the documents you need to upload
  • answer questions about the forms
If you’re using the portal to fill out and upload your forms and supporting documents, a representative could help you with the application using screen-sharing technology.

After you read the declaration, you must be the one who types your name. This is the legal requirement for your application to be considered “signed,” according to Canada’s immigration law.

its is not accepting native language in 5669. But it is accepting in 5562 form, so write in this.

Your question is not clear. Please mention the form number, because, I don't see #12 on back ground form

Thank you! I’ll ask them to put it in the Letter of Explanation too. Just to confirm the 5669 form must be signed digitally?
There are no signature requirements on 5669 when applying online.

Hello. Do we need to upload education certificates and work experience certificates with parents PR application? I didn't find anywhere that they have asked to upload these. Thanks for help.
