One Query, if someone can help me understand this issue.

Form IMM 0008 (web-based form)
On online portal, it says that You must list all of your children even if they are already permanent residents or citizens of Canada.

But on Document Checklist IMM 5771, it says to add accompanying/non-accompanying dependent spouse/partner and children, unless they are already Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident.

So, what to do in this case?

i applied on Dec 15, i heard people saying 3 to 4 months to get AOR.

Hi everyone, can parents apply for disability assistance if they become disables before the sponsorship undertaking is over? Or sponsor is expected to take care of that?

Would be more worried about them not being able to pass the medical. You must report any big changes in their health status to IRCC. By sponsoring them you are supposed to be planning on financially supporting them unless they have enough funds of their own to support themselves. For example if your parent ended up in a longterm care home you would be responsibility for paying the monthly bed fee of around 1-1.5k/month (maybe already out-of-date but will go up with inflation). Most Canadians receive enough of a pension plus OAS/GIS to cover these costs but for the next 20 years you will be responsible for covering all of the fee for the first 10 years and part of the monthly fee after 10 years when they qualify for OAS/GIS. There are also many things that are not covered or only partially covered related to healthcare and getting older so families need to plan for extra funds if their parents immigrate to Canada. Most people are unaware that there can be a lot of costs to getting older or getting more frail in Canada. We have partial Medicare.

The program has already closed. Selections were made months ago. You’ll need to wait for PGP2023 and see what the requirements are.

Hey, I, sponsor, received an email from CPC Mississauga with an attached PDF yesterday. PDF mentions that "A review indicates that the application you submitted does not meet the requirements for processing as the application is incomplete" It Also, Stated, " Your application does not meet the requirements for processing as the following item is missing or incomplete". below, they are asking to submit the eIMM5669 (2018-11) version for (principal applicant and dependent) and IMM5406(principal applicant only.) with a handwritten signature. In PDF, they provided a link to download these forms (but not working) along with 30 days deadline to submit and an email address to submit.

My questions:
1> whoever got the email yesterday, was that the same email?
2> In the 2022 PGP application, both forms were submitted online with an edit option and an electronic signature on the PR portal. so, why do they need handwritten signatures with downloaded forms?
3> The link they provided to download eIMM5669 (2018-11) version, is not working so, which version to fill? I can download the (06-2019) version.

You send an incomplete application. Most of the time they reject these kind of applications and sends a generic reminder for 30 days completion. But the truth is they do not consider it after rejection. Thats why they send Invitations to 23100 applicants to fill in ONLY 15000 spots. Because they knew from the past experience that people like you and me will try to save few dollars and send the incomplete applications instead hiring a qualified agent or lawyer.

I know it is too early and one can call me very optimistic. Since I am new and want to apply for parents PR, can someone help me with the steps and forms to fill before the pool opens again. As I saw posts, CIC is still inviting from 2019 pool that means, I have to wait until new pool opens. But wants to know some basic steps on the process.

They just finished this year’s applications. We have zero idea what next year’s will look like. It does appear that there is a move to prioritize people who have waited the longest, applied the most times, etc. There is nothing you can do to prepare but earn enough money. I would look at LICO levels for 2019 and 2020 and then add inflation for the past few years to anticipate LICO levels if they return back to normal Vs the special Covid rates.
