Anybody who is still a permanent resident and received invitation?

I dont think they pick people randomly. They do filter based on income. I know two friends of mine and both are very well settled. They applied last time and both got selected.
No I don’t think so...I have enough income and trying since 2015... not so lucky.

For those who have been applying unsuccessfully for years, here is my story.

I was gathering docs to apply when conservative government suddenly stopped the parents category program in 2011. When it was re-opened my income was not enough to sponsor. Could not apply in 2015 and 2016.

Finally my income improved and I applied in 2017 but did not get through.

Applied again in 2018, no luck.

Applied in 2019, the form just didn't open.

No luck again in 2020.

It has been extremely frustrating to see newer applicants to come apply and get through while I have been waiting for almost 10 years! yes, 10 years! I do not wish this on anybody, its a painful and hopeless process.

Now keeping my fingers crossed this time. Hopefully I will receive that email sometime over next few days.
I understand...I’m in same boat..trying since 2015

Do not overthink, its just a random draw and your interest to sponsor in a helm of a lottery system.

I Came here on 2009 as a student and waiting since 6+ years. Either my application did not reach on time before the quota was full, or government decided to pause this program, or internet was slow to submit the interest/open on browser or did not get selected on lottery. My parent passed away waiting and now interest to bring in-laws are in helm of lottery. We have been earing enough to sponsor both of our parents with 2 children (8 ppl) since last 7-8 years (kids came in between, but it would not have made any differences even if they were born since the beginning). So its not based your financial status or immigration status.

ITS JUST RANDOM!! I know it feels bad if not selected/invited, but ....

Wondering if anyone know here, MNI table is the one we are looking for minimum, income requirement or adding 30% on top of minimum requirement to calculate income requirement, I am quite confused with the instructions. I wasn't married last year, family size was3 including my both parents, now I got married this year. we are now considered family of 4 people. Are we supposed to count $61,209 plus 30% for year 2019 and same for 2018? I am not quite clear here.

3 people$39,672$50,414$49,641
4 people$48,167$61,209$60,271
