Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

Need your valuable feedback.
I applied for my single parent pr in 2019. Submitted the medical, RCMP and police clearance from back home. Today I got two emails one for pre arrival settlement and the other for PR confirmation portal asking for some details. The email says that we are on last step of your application. I asked my friends (they got same letter) and they said the next step would be uploading picture and COPR. But my concern is that in this whole process they never asked for biometrics.
isn’t that strange? Did anyone experience this? What would you suggest?

Oh ok I misunderstood then. With recent updates from folks having done their medicals last year and getting PPR now I can’t imagine when it will be our turn. I was hoping to have my parents here over the summer but that doesn’t seem to be likely now. And they are responding to every email with please be patient which is really annoying!
I know I'm really frustrated...
But I think those were delayed for so long because of COVID and they did nothing for at least one year. Now that they are back to work I hope they just finalize our applications soon. Out application received dates is way a head of other applicants who are getting PPR and this pisses me off!
Your parents might have done biometrics during their last visa (visitor/supervisa) application. You can find that in MyCIC page.
No need to worry: just do whatever they ask.
No my mom never did it and that’s what concerns me. ECAS status showing Decision made.
Is she older than 80 YO? If so, she might be exempted from biometrics

I noticed you are in 194 line and I am in 195. Our cases are in different LVO but same situation. I got 2nd medical examination request on May 6th but nothing update since then.
Or ppl from Alberta doesn't share their progress
Not sure if this is true...I've been here sharing that I have not had update since biometrics were completed in Dec 2019

It seems that the applications move very fast after the second medical! You should get the PPR very soon
My parents passed their first medical on Feb 2021.
I agree with you. I am resident of AB and my application has been received by CIC on June 26, 2019. The status indicates "In-Process" under sponsor and applicant with a note that processing started Nov 20, 2020. I have not received any medical request or biometrics while I do see some applicants from other provinces with submission dates around June 26th have already received medical checkup requests or even further progress.
i applied for my parents in 2019. They got their second medical request in March 2021 and medical was passed in April. Parents are in India and file is also in India right now.

i read somewhere that offices are open in India. did anyone received Passport request recently or any other update from New Delhi, India office?
