Hi Folks, I have observed that for some, the expiring/expired medical has changed to MEDICAL PASSED ON (NEW DATE), while for others it changed to “MEDICAL NOT REQUIRED”. Anyone here has any idea why is it so? On what basis does IRCC choose one of the two updates?

very good question. Not sure anyone here would know the criteria though.

**********Update*************
Update: Received Pre-Arrival Services letter in GCKEY on Jan 20, 2021
Ecas: New line added asking for medicals
********************************
VO: CPC M
App Rec'd date: June 07, 2019
Biometrics: done and received by CIC
PCC: submitted in Dec 2019
Additional Docs: submitted in Dec 2019

Medicals expired in December 2020

Today I got a new message in my account asking to do medicals again in 90 days.

Also, noticed that they changed one line in ECAS:

  1. We started processing xxxxxx's application on January 19, 2021. (before it was Nov 19, 2019)

Good News: CPC M is back in action and has opened our file again
Bad news: Have to again do medicals in this pandemic!

Anyone knows how long it takes for passport to return after stamping from NDVO? We have been waiting for 2 weeks.

Also, where do you find if medical is passed?
If you scroll down to details, just see under Review of medical results, if will say if its passed or not. Also, at the top of the Application status and messages page, under the latest update, it will show if medical exam assessment was done i.e pass or fail.

Need help!
I got a letter from IRCC asking for my fathers CV, can someone please share a format for that?
Thanks
Hi I don't have a format to share, I wasn't asked for that but I assume any format is accepted as long as it has all activities included such as employment, education, unemployment status etc.

I have my application submitted June 17,2020 . everytime i called they are like the time line is 20-24 months pre covid now it is even more so no specific time, I have nothing other than AOR too it seems like they have forgot about the application. My father passed away Jan 2020 advises IRCC of the change in march 2020 and took them 9 months to make that change. Agent was surprised too that there is no sponsor approval still. I ordered GCMS notes it just shows ready to be assessed- not started. Feel so helpless and frustrated . i am not even sure what to do anymore
Hi, i can imagine your frustration however just to make you feel a little at ease, my application is in progress since May 2019, and slowly receiving some updates. There are many others like you and me, haven't received any rapid response. Some haven't even received their sponsor approval like yours. However, I wish they look at your application soon.

Hello guys,

I have question for parent sponsor medical exam. If my mom has knee joint problem does it cause any reason to medical inadmissibility and medical test failed? Is it better to do knee replacement operation before medical exam?
Hi, I am not an expert on this so can't say for sure so please don't take my words on this, but being in the health care profession I can tell this shouldn't be a big deal. This won't be medical inadmissibility since the replacement is not too costly for the provincial government if it were to do in Canada. But the exact cost depends on the province as well as procedure, physician, rehabilitation, and other associated costs.

I took help from MP office they gave the same parrot answer due to covid visa offices are operating at reduced capacity . They did change my mom to be the main applicant only took them 9 months to do so. Now we are in 19 months and still at application received not even sponsor's approval. I wish we can go into Visa offices and ask whyyyyyyyyy you taking this long
@amanpreet.kaur01 Check your application created date in GC key login , probably it will be later than June 2019

I'm trying to add my name to next expression of interest, if I get selected in lottery. I'll just withdraw my current file and send a new one with in days after receiving invitation. IRCC is just way unethical and vision less than I thought.
Why on earth would you do that? Just because it’s moving slow you’ll cancel it? Don’t you think the new ones will move just as slow? And a lottery is just that. A lottery. Good luck getting selected. You should be thankful you got to submit without the joke of a lottery system.

Thank you. I was thinking same, cost is not too high in Ontario province. It should not be a problem of medical inadmissibility under osteoarthritis diagnose.
