Hello everyone,

I applied from Quebec. I have received my approval as a sponsor and the file number. Do you have any idea when I should apply for undertaking application for Quebec? Is there any letter that IRCC send us to put in my application for Quebec? Please let me know...

We received biometrics for our parents today by email! They did biometrics two years ago for the visitor visa... So they have to do it again?

Thank you

Hey guys,

We received our confirmation of permanent residence IMM5688. However, our celebration was short lived. We found an error in one of the document. They left "Place of Birth" empty.

Has anyone had this sort of issue? Should I just send them a web form?

Having missed the place of birth entry is a minor mistake from them. You can send the webform to get it corrected.
Even that may be added by the CBSA officer during entry. You can call the CIC call center whether it can be done during entry.

Hi, I did sponsor my mother-in-law in 2018, so I am suspecting a social assistance check. My case is in process since January 8, 2020, is there anything I can do proactively to make the process faster or I will be waiting 6 months to hear from them ??

However, it is too early for you to say that your case is moving slow. Only few applicants from Alberta had their case stuck in process for few months due to miscommunications from Social Assistance.

I'll give them a call. Thanks!

Guys, seeking some serious advice on this. My parents' application has been long awaiting for any activity, app was received on June 15th, some additional docs were asked for which were sent in early October 2019. There hasn't been any movement since then. Now the dilemma is, if its OKAY for them to come here in Canada in spring or summer on a visitor visa? Will it affect the processing of the application? Will it be a wise to stay in their home country until they get their PR?
