I have inquiry about receiving passport back after passport request,, I sent my parents passport for pr ( under parents sponsorship) to Ottawa on 20th of July, they showed received on 23th July by office,, but I haven’t received my passport back yet ,, can you please tell me how long will these gonna take ? Well it appears to be from AR to DM on ecas, I'm pretty sure tons of work has been done in background, only the status didn't get updated.
According to tracker, around May 10, people are getting bio request, and people from April or early May have their status App received. It means, there is no sequence.

Death Certificate for PA's spouse, I'm sponsoring one parent only.
So today got a biometrics request email in mycic. I called cic and asked if there’s any way that my father get exemption since he is here in Canada the agent told me my father needs to do the biometrics. I told the agent that too bad I have to rebook my father’s flight but the agent is very helpful and she accomodate another question so I asked her if I am approved as sponsor and she told me that decision has been made and just wait.
So my father is going back to the Philippines on August 12 to do biometrics and etc.
I am lucky that Korean Airline despite of 2 rescheduled flights they didn’t charge any extra fees.
I am happy that everything for now is ok..
