Ugh... Who updates the forms in the middle of the process!
Has anyone called IRCC and confirmed that using the old forms is ok?

The Million$ question. Here is what I would do in your shoes...

1. What is the signing date on your forms ? is it on or before May 31st? If so, go ahead with old forms.

2. If the signing date is post 01 June then I suggest that you do all that you can in your power to use the new forms. You can send scanned forms. CIC has confirmed this, thought the CO may want to see the originals at a later date.

My parents signed on June 2nd. They must have updated the forms on June 3rd because 1st and 2nd was a weekend. I think I will just send what I have and if they want me to send a new form, they will ask for it.

Quite a weird thing to do in the middle of the application window.

Seems to be the concensus from everyone on this forum. Go for it!

Hello everyone,

I am a Canadian citizen and got selected to apply for my parents PR.

I have a question regarding the form 1344 under the section SPONSOR ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT section.

For the question 3, Are you sponsoring a member of the family class or a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class?

Right now I am also sponsoring my wife PR under Inland category. So, should I answer Yes to question 3?

Also for question 5 I had answered NO

Please let know. Thanks.

Hi Guys, Can someone please help me with this. Please and Thanks.

Hi Guys, Im hoping someone to give me an advice on this. I just received the copy of passports from my parents. However some of the entry and departure stamps are not clear to the point that it doesnt seem to be there. Can you please advice if i can go ahead with the mailing or ask my parents to re-send them. Thanks

Question 3: You should answer YES not because you are sponsoring your wife. But because you are sponsoring your parents now.

You mentioned you are Canadian Citizen now. As you mentioned you are sponsoring your wife, I assume you didn't become PR by spouse sponsorship (although it is possible). In that case, you should answer "NO" for question 5.

It is safer to know IRCC got it in hand and at least get a temp file number, I don't trust Canada Post these days after so many strike and on some website people complaint packages misdelivered or delivered to wrong places etc, it is just too important to me for that to happen, I have been waiting 11 years before I can submit this app

Not sure what strikes have to do with things plus every courier has complains especially given he large volume of packages canadapost delivers. They have a person who receives the PGP applications. People need to at least wait to give IRCC a bit of time to process the applications or not complain why they can never get through on the phone line. Calling under 2-3 weeks isn't reasonable processing times.

yeah agree, nobody should call if it is not even 1 month yet, right now is the peak period of people sending app in so it may take a bit longer

I send with Canada Post express post on June 1, reached today June 4. I did not take signature option but it seems like, as someone said before in the forum, Canada Express post comes with default signature option. We don't have to pay extra.

Someone name SCI SCHUITEBOER signed as a receiver.

Really appreciate everyone who helped with different questions during the process. Waiting game begins now!

I will send / update my information for file, once I receive AOR / file number, I guess.

Thanks for your time and help !
