Thank you for your kind words and many congratulations on the completion of your sponsorship process.
My only frustration is how opaque this process has been till date. They increase the processing times to 34 months with out any notices, my file has been to 3 different Visa Office's and I have never been informed of this! Application is way past the so called 'processing time', they don't respond to web inquiries, IRCC call center calling queue's are full for days in a row. No proper correspondences what so ever! how do they expect us to wait indefinitely? I have no issue's waiting for my turn in que to be processing if the procedure is fair and transparent (like first come, first serve basis). If you need more time or require additional documents, no issues, will provide it them and wait for review. At this point I am beyond frustrated and I am sure like many others in this thread!
Hi guys, my parents are finally coming on 5th July 2022 from Pakistan. Is there anything specific that I should inform them about or they have to do at airport? Please even a Small advice will be a great help. Thank you
Hello everyone, Got invited for my mother's sponsorship in March 2019, sent papers in June 2019, medicals done in July 2021, biometrics done in October 2021. Mother came to Canada on visitor visa in November 2021, IRCC advised us to submit photos on PR portal in March 2022. Can anyone tell how long should it take from uploading photos on PR portal to get PR status and PR card? Too much money is spent on insurance so now getting impatient, I have been patient until now but it is getting stressful now. Anyway to explain this to IRCC? I have filled out numerous web form asking the same thing but always gets auto response that it may take several days to respond due to various priority situation.

The CBSA officer may ask the address the PR cards have to be sent.
They have to bring the unsigned copy to COPR received with PR visa.
Have you tried applying for OHIP as apparently one could get OHIP if they are in Canada even before getting the PR. I think you should try if you received any communication addressed to your mother stating that decision about immigration has been made.
In similar boat .. did you advise IRCC and update address and thats why PR photo have been asked to upload rather submitting PP to a vfs ?

If there is no PR status, will ohip still applicable? Technically my mother is still visitor here. Still PR portal after more than 3 months has still showing status of in review with ircc. Is it normal?
Yes I did advise ircc that my mother is in Canada so they sent the PR Portal info to create an account. Our address has been updated to Canadian now. What's your situation?
how long was your mother stay in Canada ? My mother only came here for 2 months so i thought doesnt make sense to update address ... Second medical was passed 1st June which was done in Canada .. she is leaving back end of June .. should i advise address change now ? what do you suggest ... Thanks !!
My mother is here since end of November. Due to its hard to coordinate sending passport and then wait long to receive back, I thought of her staying more. I have asked to change the address in January but response was quick to change and set up pr portal but taking very long to get any response after uploading pr photos.
If you have any communication from IRCC mentioning that PR application has been approved, you can apply for OHIP. This is according to a Service Canada employee. I think there is no harm in take the emails/letters to Service Canada and ask them.
