hi everyone,

does anyone know how we can let CIC that parents cannot fly out due to Covid restriction, flight cancelation? I am trying to find a process of reapplying for a visa but could not find it anywhere. With this current situation, all flights out of Vietnam have been canceled up to Sept 30th, if this continues, their visa will expire.

Hello everyone, What should I upload in Financial proof document section as my parents does not have any bank account in Canada yet and I want to apply for their visitor visa extension? Help would be much appreciated

Provide a notarized undertaking that you will be responsible for their stay/other expenses and attach your financial statement. Extension is not much of an issue provided you give a reason for extension.

When I applied for the extension visa I added a copy of my bank account along with a letter saying that I am supporting my mother. I also added a separate letter saying that it's too risky to travel in current Covid-19 situations. My application did get approved but I had to do a medical exam as the last one was done more than a year ago.

Yes, she can enter Canada as long as her paperwork is in order. Once she is in Canada update her address on PR file via webform

Yes she still have valid visitor visa, we can proof that she is our mother and we are going to buy return ticket as well.
Should we also mention to the border officer that she has her PR application in process???

Ecas showing medical received July 31st. LVO - NDVO. How long does it take after this?

That is good news for the processing your parents' file. Did they ask for PCC and biometrics or any other documents?

Who you are sponsoring: Dad, mom any dep?
Your parents country of citizenship:
Invitation date: April 24/25/26, 2019?

Better to send IRCC webform in about one month prior to their visa expiry.

currently I am residing in Canada on a Visit Visa. I have applied for permanent residency under PGP (Parents and Grand Parents Program for the year 2019).

It's been more than 2 years that I have been waiting for my file to be processed or updated. The only update I got was in Dec 2020 asking for my Police certificate which I have already provided. Since then I haven't heard back from CIC.

Request for Police certificate: 20 Dec 2020
CPC Mississauga

No information after that. Since I am residing in Canada since Feb 2020, will I be asked for Biometric?
Also as stated I am on visit visa, as part of my visa renewal I have done medicals in Canada back in May 2021. Will I be asked for medical.

Please guide what should I do as its been more than 2 years.

I did not mention about the PR application during my mother's visit. There are some covid guideline, please make sure you follow-them
