Call IRCC as in no way the passports to vfs office link. Vfs is working for IRCC to transit the documents. If possible you can put the email on this group after hiding the sensitive information. It will be easy to understand by others also. From which office you received the email?Hello Guys,
My parents got their copr in October 2020 and they arrived in canada in January 2021. We have applied for their pr card. They have received their health card and sin#. But today I received email stating to send passports to VFS office. So I am confused why are they asking for passports after issuing copr already.
Please advise if someone has been in this situation what should we do or do we call cic for further information.
Thank you.
Decision made and pre arrival letter are two different stages. Decision made means the process is over and next will be PPR / CoPR. Pre arrival letter issued after eligibility is approved on record even sometimes before medical also.Same as mine. I also received pre arrival letter. Does it mean it is final?
and not everyone get it as well, like in our case, we never received pre arrival letterDecision made and pre arrival letter are two different stages. There might be more to it. I sent mine last week and got it back today. April submission as well.
I think because Canada is trying to restrict travel into the country they have slowed down the process further in all the different stages. I have send my mom's passport for stamping to New Delhi and has been with them since Jan 25. Upon enquiry they respond that due to COVID they are short staffed. To be honest it does not make any sense to me. I know most of us are getting frustrated, but I am April 30th submission and I don't think anyone applied as early as me is still waiting for the process to complete. Hang in there guys because there is nothing much we can do Can't wait to get off this roller-coaster ride!!!
i only did the last 10 years and that was accepted.Hello
Can anyone help me please with this?
I received an email from CIC asking to submit IMM5669 again as they want to get up-to-date information. In the email, they said "You must provide complete details of your personal history and addresses since the age of 18. Do not leave any gaps. Failure to account for all time periods will delay the processing of your application. "
However, in the actual form "List all addresses where you have lived since your 18th birthday or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent. "
My father is 60+ and traveled many countries. It is difficult to get all those addresses as there are too many.
My question: " Is the last 10 years good enough? Or do I really need to provide his 40+ years of history?"
thank youi only did the last 10 years and that was accepted.
I got it last year in January. But then re-medical in December 2020. I did not get any other pre-arrival letter. Got PPR 10 days after getting medicals done. When did you get pre arrival letter from NDVO?
Was IRCC aware he had metastitic cancer? Assume they may have said he would die within a year so if he spent 100K in one year he would still meet the requirement. Some of the crazy logic I have seen approved.I know family who brought their father last year with metastatic cancer. It was known during IME and he was not declined due to medical condition
Parent immigration is never guaranteed. Most countries do not allow it with access to the healthcare system. Canada is actually very generous.Sorry to hear this and another situation that shows a lack of empathy from the immigration system here. The ageing population continues to only have their issues worsened and immigration delays bring it closer to become reasons to further delay or deny it. I am very sorry to hear this and agree to consult with an immigration lawyer, don't be disheartened just now and fight till you can. All the best and wish we all get reunited with our loved ones!
You should certainly try but kidney issues is one of the big reasons people are denied because dialysis is so expensive.A question regarding potential medical inadmissibility for those who might know or can advise.
My parents had their medicals done In November 2020. It seems that mom ( prinicipal applicant was ok . Father( who has numerous medical concerns , BP , diabetes , Cardiac - but overall stable) ) needed further blood test for TB and then most recently was told to see a nephrologist as his kidney function was not good .
His kidney issues have worsened since last year and so its not looking good. - we are still awaiting the specialist report .
I have family in the medical and legal field.
Both have suggested talking to an immigration lawyer at this point - though I am not sure if its even worth it ? As i understand once you are declined there is not much one can do .
Any thoughts , suggestions ?
Much appreciated
