Thank you!! Just an update, I called CIC this morning and was advise that I could put anydate if his birthdate is unknown but to provide and written explanation with the application package. Apparently a lot of people is having trouble with the form not validating because it won’t accept the (*). So I asked if I could put the date as 1900-01-01 and was told yes I could in order to get the form validated just provide a written explanation as to why.
But then on CIC website, they asked us to put * for unknown day or month where applicable, and leave the form unvalidated. I'm very confused.

"Enter your date of birth. If you do not know your complete date of birth, please use an “*” (asterisk) to fill in the spaces for the unknown year, month or day. For example, if the day and month of your date of birth is unknown you could enter 1964/*/*."

"Note: If you do not know the complete date of birth or if the date is in the 1800s, please use a “*” (star sign/asterisk) to fill in the spaces for the unknown year, month or day. The missing information can be added by hand however the form cannot be validated."

Hello friends i had couple of quick questions,
On the financial form: its Asking for Gross Income / Benefits for period, if you worked at same place for past 3 years are they looking for total or average of 3 years? also for Family size does that mean the sponsored parents and your spouse?

These must be displayed in periods and the amounts are found on line 150 of your NOA of each year.
If your spouse is co-signing the application, you will fill out his/her income on the next page, following the same format.
How to establish your family size: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1460&top=14

Periods:
2019-01-01 to Present
2018-01-01 to 2018-12-01
2017-01-01 to 2017-12-01
2016-01-01 to 2016-12-01

For 2019 you can do a YTD but they most likely won't look at this at all since nobody have NOA's for 2019 and nobody can tell how much they will make at the end of this year.

Their examples are just examples. My parents are engineers and worked in a research institute. I was under impression that the answer to the question should be "no", however later they were asked to complete a government jobs form. I ordered case notes and there was a note that work at a research institute is considered to be a government job. So now I'm thinking that if your parent's salary was/is paid by the government (vs self-employed or privately owned company) the correct answer to the question will be "yes".

This makes sense. Thank you so much.

Yes, co-signing will make that happen.

Your family size will include your parents, your spouses parents, your spouse, your dependants (if any), your parents' dependants (if any), you spouse's parents' dependants (if any), your spouse's dependants (if any, but if your have children together, they only count once).

Same thing for your spouse family size.

Hello Guys,

There are two forms which have barcodes (Sponsorship form and Principal Applicant form). Do we need to place the bar code (both forms) at Top of the application or on top of individual form (as first page). What should be the final order - Invitation Letter, BarCode (s), checklist and forms/documents?

Thanks !
