There are no plans to have a 2nd round. There is no given date yet for reopening EOI for 2019. I think it will be after they will process 27K and if completed applications are less then 20K then there will be another round. There is 60 days to submit the complete application form after EOI Response. So i will say at least 4 to 6 months more before EOI will open again in 2019.
This is incorrect. 4 thousand weren't eligible out of 80K.Last year, more than eighty thousand people submit the Interest and out of those only around four thousand were eligible. So IRCC has to go for another round. This year too, there were people who were playing darts in the dark.
Because IRCC never asked for proof of Income, everyone tried their luck. I bet you there are people who got the Confirmation emails but they do not qualify for sponsorship.
Also, it will come as a surprise who didnt even double checked and hit Submit.
Would imagine the applications will be due close to the time when taxes are due so they can look up the 2018 tax returns when they start processing applications. We will likely get applications within the next 6 weeks. Usually you have 60 days to complete. Most probably after the people filed their 2018 taxes.
This is what we can do as of now. Meanwhile it is good idea to have a look into forms to see checklist although it is 2018. But at least it can give an idea so we can prepare documents.Everyone just needs to be patient and check their email and spam folders daily.
Source? There are no plans to have a 2nd round.
How are you so certain? There are no plans to have a 2nd round.
honestly I dont' know why some users randomly throw around claims like this without quoting the source. There are no plans to have a 2nd round.
This year they invited 27000 to reach 20000. Any leftover people will be given priority for 2020. That is what IRCC said. They would have accepted more applicants if they wanted more people not another draw later on in the year. The extra 7000 had nothing to do with a 3rd round. They added 7000 application out of the blue and raised the total to 17000 for last year. I call that an election year promise. How are you so certain?
Looking at the Last year, I am pretty sure there's going to be a 2nd round or even 3rd one too, because you don't have to provide proof of income to fill the " Interest To Sponsor "
People are going nuts.Everyone is trying to get in.Playing, Fluke-Fluke.

I think, There are no plans to have a 2nd round.
I guess, time will tell. Why are we locking horns? No there won't be a 2nd round that is why they accepted 27000 applications for 20000 spots. That was CIC's reasoning not mine.
Not sure. I empathize for those who didn't get selected but they selected more applicants than they needed to try to hit 20,000 applicants. You would have to run another FIFO application.I guess, time will tell. Why are we locking horns?
