Yes you have to count all your eligible family members whether they will be dependent on you financially or not. Parents, spouses or common law of parents, spouse/common law partner, children and siblings under 22 and not married.

Good morning all,
My husband is the co-signer to my parents sponsorship application which we mailed to Cic in mid June. His PR card renewed yesterday with anew card number than what we have submitted.

Please advise how can I update Cic with the new PR card number of the co-signer!
I am so worried please help! Thanks all.

Line 136, application moved to "In Progress" on both SA and PRA late last night on ECAS. Sponsoring both parents however MyCIC has not been updated and no messages have been sent. I was under the impression that MyCIC was real time and ECAS was updated daily. Could i kindly ask the those that have progress, when they started to see receive messages on MyCIC? @robertp @YULIA-2016

Document request or Medical. For me, only Medical was sent via MyCIC. Status change to in process will not generate a notification.

What do you mean eligible? Eligible for future sponsorship?

I am following it.
You, the sponsor (and your co-signer, if applicable) must prove that you have enough income to support all the persons you’ll be financially responsible for, including yourself, once you become a sponsor.

I will not be responsible for my dad financially as he is canadian citizen and has more income than I do

Read the second link.

Never mind, I didn't read your situation in details. Just use those links and use your judgement. It's pretty straightforward.

Still have to count him so 5. Do your parents have other spouses or common law partners? If so they also need to be added,
I agree with counting 5. But don't misguide someone by saying ex spouses/partners are counted too. Go back to the guide and read carefully.

Hi guys,

I have sent the application for my parents' PGP sponsorship on May-28. G MARTIN received it in Ottawa at that date. However, I haven't yet got the Application received (AOR) letter. How long should I wait? Is there a number that I could reach them to question? Please let me know. I'm kindda nervous that some of you all have already received a passport request, and I haven't even got application received confirmation.

Thanks
