I am filling up the forms both for my parents, do I need to fill up a Use of Representative?
You must or else they will send back. Make sure you are the only one as Representative. Only ONE representative allowed at a time or else they will delay and re-ask for ONLY ONE representative.

HI, LAKEWOOD: If you are here in Canada, I don't think you need a representative. I personally didn't fill representative when I fill for my parent.

Good luck!

Yes I'm here in Canada, I'm just wondering if I will fill up the Use of Representative, as I am the one filling up the form for my parents. Like using my email address too. Thanks

HI Folks

I have received the Sponsorship Approval e-mail today.

2nd Round of 2017
Application Submitted: 7th Nov 2017
AOR: 21st Dec 2017
SA: 23rd March 2017
LVO: CPC - Ottawa

In the SA e-mail today they stated that based on my relative's address they have forwarded to Ottawa office. But i thought my application will go to Singapore as its from Bangladesh. Also from this forum hearing a lot of negative comments on the CPC - Ottawa on the delay in processing. Does anyone know how long they are taking to process these application. Anyone received for PCC and Medical Yet.
Some applications are sent to Ottawa, I've not seen any definite connection amongst these cases. No clue which cases are being sent to Ottawa and why.

Hi Everyone,

1- Is a police report needed for every country you visited EVER? (My wife's parents have been on short 30 days or less visits)

2- If we get the police report ahead of time would it be null and void because they haven't requested yet?

3- Has anyone been contacted from New Delhi office yet regarding anything? (Medical, passport, other documents) for PGP 2017?

4- What is the general timeline for New Delhi?

Thanks,
1- It's assumed that you need it for every country where the time spent is 6 months or more. If they're living in the current country for more than 10 years, most probably they wouldn't be asked to submit for other places. That's what happened in our case although the travel was extensive in the past.
2- It usually expires in 6 months so might not work if the application processing takes longer.

Apologies, I can't help with other questions directly but you can check out the link below and it might assist:

Not mandatory but it's a good idea to nominate yourself as representative. That will give you the option to follow up and check status on their behalf.

2) Is there is requirement to submit their birth certificate?
3) Do we need to submit police clearance certificate and medical certificate along with the application?

1- Yes, it is. If you don't have it, submit an affidavit.
2- Not that I'm aware of.
3- No. I'd wait until you're asked for it at a later stage. IME and PCC expire after 1 year and 6 months respectively and no one knows how long it'd be before you're asked to submit.

Hi, could you please help answer the following questions ? Thank you

1) Did you fill out the Use of Representative form ? If the representative is in Canada, parents are back home, then does the local visa office in the home country mail all correspondence to Canada (where the representative lives) ? Or is everything sent via email to the representative.

2) Did you provide photocopies all the pages of the passport (including stamps, visas, and blank pages) or just the bio pages for the principal applicant and all dependents ?
