is there any communication from CIC after the deadline to submit the applications?

Hello....can you tell me when you submitted the application for your parent/grandparent - what happens next in terms of time lines? How long the entire process took to final approval of Permanent Resident for Parent/Grandparent? These questions relate to 2017 parent sponsorship.

Please check the 2016 spreadsheet to have an idea regarding the processing time. If you go to CIC website, it will say they are still working on 2014 application so really we have no idea how long it's gonna take.

When did you receive AOR? I have received AOR on 8th of nov but after that no update so far. Feeling worried

They have not contacted me, but I wanted to send a cover letter to be added to the application. Is that even possible?

Its not possible until you have your application in process or you say linked to online account.

I have a quick question: What were the two 2017 lottery dates and how much time was given between "invitation to apply" and "app submission deadline". I have searched and also seen the spreadsheet but couldn't find these dates. Perhaps, I am missing something obvious. Realize 2018 may be different but would be good to get a sense of 2017 dates.

I was selected in first round of 2017 lottery and my invitation to apply email was dated 25April or so.

You get 90 days from the date of 'invitation to apply' email to submit your application. I assume it would be same for 2018 too.
