i sent the extra documents requested on the 22 or 23rd of June. since then, nothing. last week i added the use of repr so i can call and ask, but i might give them a call to ask if they received the files monday or tuesday.

well, honestly is not taking long. If you look at people waiting for years. Even if you call, officially they are working on 2014 applications. I just want to know the files are in. That's all

Confirmation letter received 5th May 2017.
Documents sent to Mississauga 8th May 2017.
Documents received by IRCC 11th May 2017.
Approval for parent sponsorship email received 28th June 2017 and file sent to Paris office.
Paris office requesting Police certificate...etc... received 11th July 2017.

It does not count towards the PR residency requirement.

It does not count towards the citizenship requirement at this time. Once the new rule is passed, time spent as a visitor will be counted for citizenship up to two years (with each day counting as half a day towards the residency requirement).
