Does anyone know if you can apply for a supervisa while a PR application is pending? We are nearing the two year mark since we applied. No medical request yet.

Do you guys think requesting frequent GCMS notes/ ATIP request update will slow down the application process

Not at all.

If you order through CBSA they also ask the LVO to pull the physical file if you want. This MAY or MAY not do anything to the file. Some LVOs might not be organized and might use physical queues so no one really knows. BUT by rules of the policies it should not.

Also, ATIP agents are totally different people, setting in Canada and have nothing to do with case officers etc...they just pull a file from computer, redact it, and send it to you.

Now just to add more, a request to CSIS (may) help speed things up as I have read elsewhere. That could only be because maybe they have a much less queue or notice someone is active and try to push things through but even that no one knows. However, not every case is sent to CSIS and it MAY only speed up CSIS part and not CBSA part of actual immigration part.

Bottom line is
A- DO NOT HOPE that many ATIP requests will help you.
B- DO NOT WORRY that many ATIP requests will harm your case.

I have ordered like 20-30 orders on cases and have been tracking every step without any adverse effects.

Yes, technically you can and you are allowed to do this legally and by policies of CIC.

However, some stupid case officer may say, "Oh you want a SV while you have intention to stay there permanently so you may misuse the SV and stay there permanently as a refugee since you have the intention to stay there eventually."

This becomes ^^^ more of an issue if you are from certain countries and visa review officers can be pretty unreasonable. A reasonable person would think that an SV should be given to a future PR a lot easier because they qualify ALL conditions but no they have flopped brain cells.

Certain other countries don't have any issues getting SVs (India, China,...) / money and politics speaks.

I am aware of a case finalized earlier last month.
So things are moving at London LVO but they wait for security to pass.

Comprehensive Security took 6 months almost to the day for one of the applicants and the dependent was not sent to security.

Re-medical was requested a month before the other was expired. Hence, my post that people should proactively ask for it (even 3-4 months before). Maybe they are observing the 6 months rule who knows...stupid unwritten rule probably.

Re-medical passed in 4 days. This is consistent with India office (I think Pakistan checks go to India medical office too).

After medical pass, (after 4 days of medical checkup), an email was sent to LLVO to request them to send Passport Request. They expedited it and sent PPR within 24 hours.

Visa was issued within 3 days and picked up on 4th day from VAC Islamabad.

This is probably a record breaker of 9 days from the day medical checkup was done to the day Visa was received (for pgp case).

All thanks to a great rep at LLVO. So, I don't think they are lazy but the process is out of their hand when it comes to security.
My re medicals were done like 3 weeks ago but it doesnt show passed/received online. On which email address i can ask about it. My visa office is also London

I doubt LLVO can do anything if your medical is not received or finalized. Contact them only if your medical is finalized / passed.

Your medical goes to India office (most likely) / assuming you are from Pakistan.

Ask the physician if they sent it or not. If they really have sent it / submitted it then you should have heard by now UNLESS something is off. Maybe they will ask you for further medical checkup or a sputum culture if TB like evidence was shown in X-ray.

Emails should be sent to the same email the London has so far communicated with you:

LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

Or Webform works the same.

Usually there is no RECEIVED to show on My CIC if I remember correctly. It just says Passed within 4-5 days for your area.

Sorry, I don't know who to contact. Maybe do a Webform to CIC Mississauga as well as London as may it's PASSED already but simply not reflected on My CIC. Alternative is you will be asked for further medical check if that's what they are thinking.

If your background check is done (CBSA I mean) then you are due for passport soon. If not AND they want to send to CBSA then easily 3-6 months wait for that. The next few days to two weeks you will receive PPR request if your case is not going to CBSA. If you pass that time then you are just waiting for CBSA and all else is complete on your case.

We received pre-arrival services letter yesterday, but still no medical or pcc requests.

I also was contacted by some 2019 applicants who were being processed by the Los Angeles LVO, and they received email saying that Los Angeles was no longer processing applications so they were being transferred elsewhere (we haven't received that email).

Any idea what is going on?

Update: This morning we received request for medical (YAY) which is great news.

However, the email came from "IRCC (New York) 466 Lexington Avenue, 20th Floor New York, NY 10017" indicating that our application has been transferred to New York from Los Angeles, but we were not notified of the change as other applicants apparently were.

Further, the Medical form still has our old mailing address from 1 1/2 years ago, when I have twice submitted a change of address. My question is should I leave it alone at this point so there is no conflict between the mailing address on the form and what is in the application, or submit a third change of address to the New York LVO?

Too bad that the uncaring case workers didn't send this to you on time (January).

Anyhow, probably address is not important at this point and specially that you get all communication in email. They may ignore your other attempts of address change too...
