Can parents already in Canada on TRV extend their stay up to 2 years? Guide 5551 previously explicitly mentioned that parents can extend their stay up to 2 years if they meet insurance and LICO requirements but now the Guide 5551 website has removed this statement. Anyone knows why? I am attaching screen prints of website for today and November.

I don't believe that clause applies anymore since it refers to the period of time when CIC placed a temporary pause on parent and grandparent sponsorship application. Once the pause was lifted and the super visa was introduced, I believe this rule went away. But I could be wrong.
 
I heard on this forum that CPC Ottawa processes super visa application if parents are already in Canada on a TRV. Is this true?
Btw the Guide5551 still has LICO table given at the end and the address for sending application still says Parents and Grandparents - Extended Stay Vegreville, AB.
