Hi everyone!
A couple of questions here. So I am inviting my mother to visit me in Canada. My situation is as follows:
1. I share the house with my sister and her husband. My sister is not employed, I am. We rent the house.
2. I am inviting my mum and am going to cover her plane ticket costs and most of her essential expenses (transportation, entertainment etc.) while she's here. She will cover her shopping only.
3. Mum is retired, her only income is the rent she gets from renting out her apartment.
The questions are:
1. Should I be the only one to invite her or my sister has to invite her too considering that we live at the same address? We decided that I should be the only one to invite because my sister doesn't have a job.
2. In the application there was a question about who is covering the trip expenses. We filled in both my mum and myself because she will be bringing her savings too. Is this correct? She has all the necessary statements.
3. On the document upload page there is one field to provide a proof of funds. Should we upload both her statements and my invitation (with my statements and other paperwork attached) or should we upload her statements only and upload the invitation as an additional document? Does this matter?
4. To my invitation I attach my PR card, birth certificate, employer reference and savings account statement for the last month. Is this enough? Would you change anything?
Any additional information on this topic will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
