I am a permanent resident of canada and I am planning to apply for my in-laws visitor visa.
I have below queries
i) If I apply visitor online , by what time I should be expecting biometric ?
ii) Once I received the biometric , How much time I have to submit the biometric request ?
iii) As the VFS in india is not taking biometric appointment , what happens if I am not able to submit biometric request within the requested time frame ?

Biometrics have not been available for visitors in India for a year. They would need to travel abroad usually to UAE or Nepal. That may no longer be possible. Because biometrics aren't possible applications are essentially put on hold until biometrics are possible in India so there is no expiry date

There is no queue. When VFS opens in India for biometrics for visitors they can arrange biometrics. It may be quite a while.
Thank you for the reply. I mean to say that once I applied for visitor visa application, it will be in the processing status till the biometric opened in India. So I hope they may not refuse or reject application ?
Yes your application will essentially be paused until offices open for biometrics.

My parents has biometric request with deadline for 08 July 2021.
The letter says our application will be refused if no biometric is submitted within deadline.
Is it advisable to apply for extension or will my parents application put on hold..

They have an automatic extension in India. Offices have not been open for visitors to do their biometric for over a year so expiry dates will only return once offices open again.
Guys I got my dad biometric appointment on 20 July.. Its one year now for his application.. any idea how should I expedite the application after his biometric?
@Victor paul any update for your TRV application? My dad finished his biometric but no update on his application yet. I applied last year july 2020. Guys anyone else got their parents visa or in same situation?
