Hi , I am applying for a visitor visa for my Mother.
Her name is different in her passport and the birth certificate I have.
Will that be an issue ?
Thanks .

Hey I was in the same boat as well, I just added the 'deed poll' of the name change. Im still awaiting my results!

Having an affidavit from a notary in India usually helps in such cases. Have an affidavit that it's the same person holding different names as shown in the birth certificate and passport. An affidavit is a legal and accepted document for Canada visa applications.

Do you think that the documents of the 'deed poll' (legal name change) is just as good or an affidavit is more substantial?
