my mother is here on a supevisa (PG 1 Multiple) which was issued with the dates i.e. June 2012 till April 2013. This is because her passport was expiring in May 2013 so the officer issued for these dates. However, when she arrived, at the Port of Entry, on Aug 2012, the officer put a stamp on her passport and wrote a date of Feb 2013. What does this mean? does she have to leave Canada before this date? can she apply for a 2 year extension as allowed under Supervisa while she is here in Canada?

Appreicate response. God Bless !!

I think your passport expiration might be an issue

thanks for your reply. I understand that her passport needs to be renewed, and we will get it done. My question is that once we get the passport renewed, can we then apply for a 2 year extension (as allowed under the Parent Supverisa) from within Canada i.e. while she is physically here?

Yes, infact there are few who have got regular visit visa extended for 2 years as well

again thank you for your time and suggestion. would appreciate if someone else could share their experiences and/or insight. Thanking that perso in anticipation of a reply.
