Need your help again

I am applying sposnsorship application for my mother.

She is in canada for more than yaer as she is on supervisa.

While filling Sposnsorship form, they are asking "immigration office requested".

For that should I put cpc-mississauga ? as its saying "The case processing centre in Mississauga processes applications to sponsor family members living abroad:"

Please suggest

You should choose CPC-Ottawa since your parents have lived here for more than a year. If your parents were back home, then you would need to choose your local visa office. Also, note that regardless of which office you indicate on your application, CPC-Mississauga will decide whether to transfer the application to Ottawa or the local visa office.

You can select CPP-Ottawa.

*Just as a note. I am just uncertain if Mississauga would be sending files of parents to CPP-Ottawa, considering it will be minimum 2 years before these new 2014 application would even be reviewed by a visa officer (based on the fact that they will be put in queue after the current backlog of parent application still waiting (2008-2011). So although the parent(s) are in Canada now, they may not be here in 2-3 years etc. I guess I'm just curious as to how CPP-Mississauga would be handling the CPP-Ottawa requests.

There have been cases in which Mississauga has transferred files to Ottawa even if the parents have never visited Canada. And there are cases in which parents were in Canada, but the files were transferred to the local visa office in their home countries. So, you never know.

I think you are right. It is a big unknown, and only CIC knows what they will do.

You will need to put Ottawa. Mississauga is not a visa office. They just assess your sponsorship eligibility.

They should be prepared to have the application transferred to the overseas office, as it unlikely the parents will remain in Canada for the total processing time. Since the new applications go to the bottom of the pile of the applications already in process from before the closure of PGP program.

Regardless of that, parents in Canada or not - file processed in CPP-O will be way faster and they will instruct LVO to request PP at the last stage, now if the parents are here at that time - ie., 4-5 years from now, they can email CPP-O and sent pp to Ottawa

Lot of people did this during the recent parent sponsorship
