Hello, I make this thread for seeking any helpful advice for my case:
I intend to sponsor only my mom in this 2019 cuz my dad, he doesn't want to immigrant.
My mom and dad, they live separately for quite long time without divorcing. They had two daughters, one is me and the other one is my sibling, she is a cerebral palsy. They all are living in Vietnam now and I am living in Canada. My questions are:
- Is there any problems if I just sponsor only my mom?
- How is my family size at this point? cuz it'll effect the income. Do I need to count also my dad and my sister even they will not accompany
- I read somewhere that my dad and my sister also need to do medical exam and provide security checks vs criminality checks. Is that true? and what if my sister or my dad doesn't pass the medical exam, does it effect the application even they will not accompany?
- I looked up into the application form, but I can't find any instruction about where should they take the medical exam. So I wondering at which stage CIC will request for medical exam of them all?
- And with application in the year of 2019, which year should I declare the income?

My very top concern is my sister. She is cerebral palsy from the day she was born. I won't sponsor her but is there any effect the application I must know?
I appreciate for any advices. Thanks

hope

You can sponsor only your mother.
Yes, you must include everyone who COULD come to Canada, even if they don't intend to.
Yes, everyone who COULD come to Canada must have a medical examination and background checks. If anyone fails, they all fail.
IRCC will request the medical examinations.

Unless your father and mother are legally divorced, I don't think you can exclude one of them for the medical.
You can apply only your mother but your father will be list as non-accompany. And will need to take medical exam.

Your sister's case is ... a bit complex.
Either she is independent and can live by herself and don't need to be included.
Or she is a dependent of your parents and needs to take medical exam. She may be determined as needing excessive medical and even if she doesn't intend to come, your application will not be approved.

Your family size needs to include all of them (if your sister is a dependent) and not only those who wants to come.

my sis, she doesn't need any medical supply, her physical is total normal and healthy, just about her mental. She can't talk or doing some daily things for herself, but she can walk. You think that she has any chance to pass that exam? thanks

It completely depends on the medical assessment of your sister. However, you are probably correct that this might prevent your parents from coming to Canada. This is a risk that every immigrant to Canada must assess before they apply. My parents are never going to be able to come here either...

I am sorry to hear about your parents. You also got the same issue as mine?
I try to search for how they assess in medical exam so I will know how many % chance she got, but It seems no clue...:(

If she doesn't need medical attention, may be they will allow her to be a PR. You need to do more research on excessive medical demand. I do not have additional information for you. But someone on this forum may be able to point you to some reading and what kind of assessment you will need from her doctor.
