Parent Sponsorship - Not heard in 5 months after submission

Call them 1888 242 2100My mother's sponsorship application was submitted on 24th May 2018.
It has been 5 months but I haven't heard from Immigration Canada yet.
Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks
Appreciate all the responses but do you get some sort of an acknowledgement from them? Is there some way to know if they have begun processing the file or do they just pick up the file one day within 24 months and start processing it and then the clock starts after they start processing it.
How long does the whole process take from submission to outcome? Do we have an excel sheet somewhere on the forum where such applications are being tracked?

Are you the representative? Have you been checking you spam folder? Sponsorship times have gotten much faster in the past 2 years. As you can see, plenty have not received AOR. Also not the complete list. Given that it used to take 4 years to sponsor, this still fast processing.
I just received a letter from IRCC confirming that my sponsorship application has been received and accepted into the 2018 intake cap.
Application Accepted on 19th October, 2018
I got it December 12th, 2018. "Your application has been accepted under intake 2018"
Have you heard anything else? Like medical request?
