I know that we have tons of fees of permanent residency application. One of them is:

Principal applicant (including $75 for sponsorship), does this mean that the 75 is included in the $550 price or do I have to pay 75 dollars separate from the 75???

I also am having a lot of trouble with the first part of the Generic Application form, The Application Details got me really confused.

Number 4 on the application asks Immigration Office requested for processing? What am I suppose to put under this one??

it depends on where and under what category you are applying your permanent residency...you put the name of the visa processing office where you will be sending your documents (ex. cpc-vegreville)...

I know I am going under family - common law status, I haven't quite figured out where I am suppose to mail it XD

The $550 includes the $75 fee. It is $550 + $490 (RPRF), for a total of $1040.

Are you applying inland or outland? Inland, the visa office will be CPC-Vegreville. Outland, it will be your country of nationality or the country you are currently living in if your visa there is for at least one year.

hi there, isn't it the $490 (right of permanent residence fee) is asked later by the immigration once the pr is approved?i applied for pr status just this feb but didn't pay the rprf and my papers were not sent back...c",)

also, $550 for you and your common law partner and each family member over 22yo, and $150 for each family member under 22yo...c",)

The sponsor guide specifically says: "Note. We strongly recommend paying the Right of Permanent Residence Fee along with your processing fees. By doing so, it will reduce the processing time of your application."

By not paying the RPRF with the other fees, CIC will have to send you the request to pay it, wait for confirmation of the payment, connect it to your application, confirm it to the outland visa office if you are applying outland. This delays your application, sometimes by several months.

We didn't pay the RPRF upfront, either, and it did delay our application. I would get that fee paid as soon as possible.

thanks for the heads up...sad to say, i already submitted my application...could have done better...c",)

It's ok.....we didn't know either! And I didn't find this forum until AFTER submitting my paperwork. I think CIC should reference this forum on their applications ;) ;) I think you should be able to go online and pay the RPRF online and then submit the receipt or copy of online receipt. Did you submit your application just recently?

My boyfriend is a Canadian citizen so I don't think I have to worry about him right?? Do I have to send the Additional Family member and Additional Dependant paper? I am the only person to come up here to live with my boyfriend. Also how long does it usually take for the papers to go through?? How will I find out if I been approved or not?
