Paper or Online application

Will my originals documents be returned to me if I make paper application.

Please advise.

Usually original documents won't be returned. Your best option is to make certified/notarized copies of these and submit, as submitted documents will not be returned to applicants.

Hi gakintan,

I applied offline and one of my friend applied online. Both of us got our visas on the same day. In fact my friend had applied online 4 days before me. However, if you apply online you will have to send your passport to consulate for stamping. Therefore, it is better to apply offline with your passport along with the application

Apply paper based visa and then connect your application to your MyCIC account. you will be updated like online application at each and every step. and never send your original documents with application because documents would not return and you might face some difficulty.

If u want to submit online u should have.
U say they will update u on every step if u link?pls wat step

No I submitted photocopied documents,
And there's not notary at the VAC

As far as I know, all original documents are returned. They don't keep originals

Hi,

as far as i know all original documents are returned and it also makes your application simple and fast for paper application. this is because they believe in original than photocopied and with photocopy they will have to go to various institutions to check if they are genuine which prolong the application.

1. No original documents required, only photocopies. No need to notarized unless mentioned in your country specific checklist.
