Paper based application receipt

Dear Experts,

I have sent my paper based application (saskatchewan nominee) to CIO office Nova Scotia on 11 Nov 18.

How would I know if the application was received by them? Will they notify by email?

My IELTS is expiring in end November so will they ask me to re-take the test?
