Paper application online linking.

Has anyone been able to link their paper applications online ?
I mean I've applied a while ago and I've been trying to link my paper applications online for more over 3 weeks now and all I get is the no applications found thing. I don't understand the CIC stuff at all. I've also been trying to reach them on phone too, it's always busy.
Keep in mind that I'm applying outside Canada.

P.S: I've also tried the report technical error thing too. No response from them too.

I tried that before and we got the same answer, i called cic and they ask me if its already past processing time and i said no. then they told me they will only entertain applicants who were past processing time

Which number were you able to speak to them on ? Are you applying outside Canada ?

Paper linked successfully. Got a response from the technical office after waiting for days.

hi,

i have tried the above mentioned step in the link, but failed.

i just want to inquire is there any possibility to link the spousal visa paper application under family sponsorship, or i have to wait for AOR2.

After so many attempts over the last days, I have been able to link our paper application to an online account.

I am the sponsor of the applicant.
I have appointed myself the representative of the applicant.
I am an unpaid representative.
We have presented an outland family class (spouse) application.

I got the GcKey.

I have created the account on my name (the sponsor).

As mentionned in some other posts, I have used Internet Explorer. I was previously trying with Firefox.

I have also used UCI and Family Name.

Instead of Place of Birth I have used Passport Information of the applicant.
I have tried PoB with Town / State : No working
I have tried PoB with a space only : Not working

Number of persons in the application: 2 - Applicant and sponsor. We have a child but he has obtained his canadian citizenship.

And that works...

Therefore, when it is said in the Guide 5525 that an unpaid representative cannot link paper work to an application, it is misleading. As the sponsor, even if I am the unpaid rep, I can link to an online account.

Anyhow .....
The information contained in that acount is not such of a great help in knowing the processing state.
It is almost identical to the information one can get from the online service at 1-888-242-2100.

But online account is faster and can be reached from any internet access.
I understood the IRCC help center is difficult to reach from abroad (Outside Canada). Also, I beleive it is providing a mean of easily uploading paperworks.
The online tool on the IRCC web site is also helpful in the way that it is providing dates of reception.
