hi, I moved with my kids to U.S.A 2013 to make a business with my sister in law. We moved because the situation in Palestine is not safe for our kids. Things didn’t go well with my sister in law and me , we lost our money and we got in fight with them. I transferred my visa from visitor visa to student visa to stay legal at U.S.A, it is hard for us to go back home because it is not safe in addition my sister in law and her husband wrote about us in social media under fake names claiming that I am a bad girl and we are spy to Israel. I can’t continue living in U.S.A with the kids and I can’t go back home. My question is, can I apply asylum for Canada? How I can do that? Or what ways can I apply to immigrant to Canada , please need help.

I went to a lawyer there, he told me that U.S.A don’t recognize Palestine, so as a Palestinian I am not under any threats. Besides the other case ( social media) is not a case.

Canada doesn’t recognize Palestine either, so what makes you think your chances here would be any different? You managed to gain entry to the US on a visa despite being from country with no official recognition from the US and have been there 5 years. Apart from a social media posting between feuding family member, where is the threat?

You can make a claim to Convention refugee status at the Canadian border. How it may go cannot be predicted but you'd be permitted to remain in Canada until a decision is made.

Not entirely true. If they claim at a point of entry they will be returned to the US under the Safe Third Country agreement (based on the information provided).
