I just got an email from CIC after 4.5 months.

"Your application has been updated. Please sign in to your MyCIC account and check your application status and messages for more information."

When I login there is nothing new. Last message is from July and status of everything is the same. What should I do?

upfront medical. Now the site is saying "Application status is currently unavailable. Please try again later.". What is going on!!!

Assalam Walikum everyone!

I got accepted in U o M (foundation course) for Jan session. I applied for visa on the 13th Oct 2014. I know I was late since the admission and everything went so fast, also it took me time to gather all the required things at short notice for my visa application. I have been reading this forum since I have applied and I am pretty sure I will have to defer my admission to may. The situation in Islamabad has worsened a lot. Plus I didn't have upfront medical so I am waiting for my medical. If anyone wants to add me on facebook, he's most welcome. I wish everyone here to get their visa approved as soon as possible and be happy.

My spouse received the same email on November 13, 2014 but, the only difference is this message is regarding the work permit application in our case. I inquire regarding that and was told CIC runs some background checks on applicants which generate the automatic notification email. However, this is still unclear some people still says that this is a system glitch and what not. Lastly, the best bet is to hang tight mate.

i and 4 other applicants got the same mail. write a case specific inquiry that u already had ur medical mentioning ur UMI number and also attach a copy of the upfront medical, if available.
