I went to to submit my medical too without having request from CIC. But IOM ISB told me not to do so since there is no way to match UCI number. As in, once cic generates medical request they generate UCI, and medical is done on that UCI. but if I do medical now, UCI from IOM will be different as they will generate their own. And then there is no way to match two different UCIs from CIC and IOM. So I dont know what happened here.
And yeah flyingjalebi I think for you, they might have exempted you from medical that is what it passed

wait and see, any one going for more then six months need medical done, may be its a software glitch, be vigilant.

It would be best to apply paperbased. They are taking too long to process online applications.

You should have atleast the total fee of your 1st year of the program PLUS CAD$10000, in your account.

show other resources as well, like properties, assets, income proof, your financial strength should be more then requirements, to make application stronger.

btw if i write an sop stating that my parents only allow me to study abroad because my sis is there and therefore i have to return Pakistan and all.. may be that would make a strong case. what do u say?

yes they see to which country your links are stronger, show strong links to Pakistan, that you inherit property of your parents, show that you have job offer on return, show if you have assets in your name. its fact that Canada has 101 plans for students to settle in their country such as pgwp, provincial programs, express entry but if you tell VO officer that you may consider to stay there they will reject your application.

guys i am here in canada in vanocuver.BUt i want to change my city to calgary alberta.My question is that if i change my school i have to wait for 1 year to enroll in next semester.Plz guide me that if i didnt attend any school for 1 year is there anyone on my study permit.Will cic take any action.KIndly guide me if anyone knows about it.

You will need to check CIC website for this. In case if they need a letter from your existing institute, you might be in a mess.

please help me

I applied with my husband(as dependent for TRV ) for study permit .my husband got medical request on 15th august but I didn't.

latter after 15 days I got courier from VFS where I got two sheets for medical.
I submitted my medical on 5th September.
my classes starts from 10th of September.
I got Email from VFS on 10th that my passport have been dispatched.
But I didn't get any email or LOI from CIC.

IS it rejection or visa???

Dispatched? VFS does not dispatch the passports. Where country are you from?

UPDATE:

My friend who got her passport and police certificate request last week received her introduction letter in her mycic account and the status of her application changed to "closed" and "approved"

Alhumdulilah this is great news but does she still have to wait for another email or msg to go get her passport? The people who are waiting since submitting your passports in august did you status change as well or is it still "open" ?

I believe she will need to wait for an email from CIC/VFS to collect her passport.

In that case, there are still chances. VO may say that your parents may allow you to stay there for long because your sis is there...

You can simply say that "I had few countries in my mind to study abroad but I preferred to study in Canada, as my sister is a resident of Canada. It is great to have someone of your own at your back. Since I have shared this idea with her, she has also offered me financial support during my study................................................"

it will not make your case strong .. Think about this why do canada offeres study to international student because they pay 3 times more then their residents this is an industry they subsidies their people for studies they will not like this idea havin said that I will say u must apply but u need to think about two things I am going to send u in box read it it will help you getting visa .
