Hi
Is there really any benefit of getting an upfront medical exam?

it saves time only in the case that you are 100% sure that you are going to qualify for visa however it wastes 7500 rupees in case the visa is rejected due to any other reason so i don't think its a wise option

how much time does it save on average?

Well Daid
In most of the cases medical takes week then visa gets approved but sometimes due to work load it may take more than 10 or 15 days..... depends on situation
If you sure about visa approval then go ahead otherwise wait for medical email
