Harry, I applied with upfront medical on 15th May and file transferred to Islamabad on 19th May.

I have received email from CHC. Which contains an approval letter attached and now Waiting for VFS email/sms/call for passport collection.

Seena, I also remember and got hope when you received Medical request. Anyways you will also get approval soon. InshAllah

Got couple of question:
1. In paper based applications, how many days after your medical would you receive your passport? On average? (Assuming that medical is clear)
2. In online applications, how many days after passport request do you get your stamped passport back? On average? (Assuming that you submit your passport immediately after receiving the passport request)

1. Can't say about paper based applicants, but generally they get passport in a month.
2. I got my passport after 10 days. (from the day they received my passport). and I suggest sending the passport through some courier service (TCS in my case).

Guys, i havent got passport request. I was just trying to increase my knowledge So Sheeda is the only online applicant who has got decision to date.
What i dont understand is how he got visa on online app? Hahahahahaha :-*

For the love of all, what is pure and holy, please make it public, never, ever, apply online for canadian visa. For blessed is he, who shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, and he is truly his brothers keeper and finder of lost children.

Initially I thought, its not just about being lucky. I had strong case and was supposed to get visa.
But now, this last one month made it clear that I am nothing more than just LUCKY that my application is processed within time.
The only thing I can think of is that I applied quite early when they dont had bundles and bundles of applications. Coz as you move towards June. The number of applicants increases drastically. Scores of student submit visa applications in single day. Which means the chances of late processing are quite high. Thats why I kept on saying in start to all the GOING TO APPLY applicants that don't waste one single day and apply as early as you can.
And yasir dont loose hope. You still have plenty of time. If they dont ask you for any extra doc. You can have your stamped passport in your hands within 10 days once you receive passport request.
