Pakistani visiting the US and applying for Canadian visa?timeline

Hi Everyone,

I am a Pakistani national visitng the US on a visit visa... I had applied earlier for a Canadian visa from Pakistan and was rejected as the visa officer said i didnt provide enough evidence to return back to my country... I still decided to go ahead and make the trip to the US and apply from here.

I just wanted all of you to know that it took exactly the same amount of days to get the visa from here too... In Pakistan it took them 64 days and today AH after waiting for 64 days in the US i have received my stamped visa for Canada.

So if anyone thinks it takes less time from the US.... honestly i doubt it.... I just want to share my experience as its been pretty hard on me to wait for 64 days where the website says 14 days.

But all in all.... I have the visa and catching the next flight to meet my MOM

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am Also planning to apply visit for Canada.i just got B1/B2 US visa which valid for 5 years. can you please confirm what was your status when you were applying from US? I am mean can i apply visa for canada while on B1/B2 status in US?
