Pakistani Visa applicants for Fall 2010

Hello people,

Please post if you've applied or are yet to apply for a Canadian student visa.

Please try to follow the template:

Course applied for: M.Eng. Electrical & Computer Engg.
Tests taken: TOEFL/GRE (114, 1390)
Applied date: 25th May, 2010
Financial status showed: $45,000 liquid funds, $100,000 worth property, $25,000 annual income.
Current status: No response yet, not even medical (it's been 19 days)
Classes start: 07 September, 2010
University: Concordia University, Montreal

actually in my case, my REAL uncle is going to sponsor me...would u plz tell me how can i proof of relationship to him ?

My sponsor is my father.


you can prove your relationship by getting a family tree thing from NADRA(pakistan) and an affidavit of support.

wat is FAMILY TREE THING ? would plz describe it...?

Well in Pakistan, they give you your family tree as per your records... like your grandpa->uncles->their children


You can visit a NADRA office and ask out more.

Hey Qaiser,

With such good GRE why didnt you try for a research program and grab some funding ?
Why Univ of Montreal,u could have gone for a cheaper and highly ranked univ dude?
Usually it takes 15-20 days to call your medical and you'll get it soon.Dont worry .
Your case is strong .
Did you show your bank statement or your father's??

This funding thing is just a myth... it's something they say on the internet but it's actually a lot tougher in real-time. With the ongoing recession, it's very hard to get a funded admit from the 1st Semester, not unless your GPA is above 3.5.

GRE has no role whatsoever in getting you an RA. In Canada, for M.E. ECE, only McGill requires GRE; the rest don't even want it.

Hi Kugaa.
CHC send you for papers,,,
1.medical form with picture
2.medical letter with doctor names
3.medical cover letter where your application number written on left side with ink by hand...
4. passport

first two ,,,you will be give to doctor,,,,,
last two,,passport and medical cover letter ,,you will return to CHC.... OK understand,,,not any other letter or document by hand written,,,...

u r saying cover letter is the one on which it is also mentioned that i have to send all the required documents to CHC if i didn't send them earlier ?

and yes on this document my file no is also written at the left corner..

yaar Kugaa

cover letter is not essential. but a fomral way of submitting application or docs for any purpose.
u can handwrite or print it and do remember to sign it. here is a sample u can put ur details and get a printout

remember you dont need to send back even a single paper that u received with ur medical call. just ur passport. u can attatch Medical Test Payment Receipt(copy) if u like. i would definately recomend that.
