No the agents don't tell you anything about this. When you call the ircc call center to check your application status, the computerized message tell you about the applications that are currently in process.

The computerized message was clearly wrong then or perhaps you understood it wrong.

Means that somebody is working on your application. These update emails are not meant for the applicants but due to some bug in their system, applicants also get update when they make a change.

You might get several of such emails before getting a decision.

Decision might even take several days/month(s) even after receiving such emails.

Seeing many applicants receive decision in 1 month, i thought it would reduce but strangely it increased.

yeah I was thinking the same thing. Many Pakistani applicants received the decision within 3-4 weeks so I was hoping that the processing time will definitely be reduced in the coming weeks.
I think rejections take much lesser time because most of the applicants whose files have been rejected, received their decision in 20-25 days. Tomorrow it's gonna be 8 weeks for me and I still don't know what's gonna happen

Some have received medical calls in 2 weeks as well. Time is not related to acceptance or rejection.

I think the more the delay the better the chances of getting the visa. Might be wrong, but it's a pattern I've been observing lately, specially for Fall 16.

Yes I was reading a few cases for the fall'16 intake and most of the people who had their decisions delayed longer than usual got their visas approved. Rejections usually take much lesser time
