Hello everyone,
I would like to take a min and thank all the members here helping others with there application and guiding them through the process.

I need suggestion on my visa, I am so scared. My visa has been rejected twice in 2016 and 2017 on the basis of not enough funds and you won't leave canada after the completion of your Studies.
Anyways, i am about to apply again. I received the offer letter from University Of Regina. Even though i am a bit late, i am thinking to apply anyways as the process is 8 weeks and i barely have 6 weeks until the classes start. Do you guys this should i apply?
And is the embassy giving out visas or they are just denying them?

Any Update? Also Did you get any sort of email at all after your submission the the VAC? I only got one email containing the Biometric receipt.

So for me, I got a medical request on July 7 despite my upfront medical and that took me about 7 days to resolve. Reached out to my local clinic who did the exam and they said they sent in my results and then I submitted like 3 webforms to the Abu Dhabi visa office and 3 emails. They eventually replied on July 14 saying that they linked my medical and mentioned in the email that they're doing certain background checks. So I'm not sure what will happen next. Even after medical anything is possible. Let's hope for the best. How's your situation right now?

The envelope for the decision on the results of your visa that has been processed has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center at Pakistan OC,Islamabad, on the date. We will then send this to the Canadian Visa Application Center Pakistan OC,Islamabad. Please note that this is an automated email. Please DO NOT reply to this email.

So for me, I got a medical request on July 7 despite my upfront medical and that took me about 7 days to resolve. That’s great news! I’m not doing so well, not a single email apart from the initial biometric acknowledgment. No update on the portal as well. I just hope they send me a positive response asap, the waiting is torture. Anything is definitely possible but after medical chances of rejection are very slim

I know, the wait game is really tough to be honest. Checking status everyday. The thing with Canadian embassy is that they don't process applications with the same timeline for every applicant unlike UK and US who have standard timelines and you will get a Yes or a No within that time period. I am just guessing that Canada just has way too many applications on their hand. I wish the best for everyone..

I applied last week only. I have received another email that the decision has been forwarded to IRCC in Pakistan for further processing. I am completely blank. Is this something every one else receives?

Hey guys i am new here and i have read alot of posts from you guys
I just wanted to inform you guys that after the efforts of Canadian high commission to Pakistan the immigration minister of Canada has made an announcement yesterday that the SDS policy is extended to Pakistan and from know.onwards any Pakistani student who would apply in SDS would get his visa decision within 20-25 days .
Another thing is that i have read alot that the visa that got rejected are only given a reason that you won't come back to your country though it sounds like bullshit and many of you might be very angry with this comment that how can they judge us etc but guys to be very honest with you guys till now only about 28% of pakistani students habe returned from Canada after completing their studies or have moved to some other countries others have applied for PR or have take asylum.
I am really sad to know about the rejections my fellows have faced i know its really really hard to bear it.
But congratulations to the students who are gonna apply for the January 2020 intake just try your best to apply in SDS as it has a good approval ratio .
Don't lose hope trust in Allah.

Guys, Still no answer from CIC. I applied via paper application on June 21 2019. Linked on 04 July and till then no medical call. Do any of you know of anyone who received the medical call after this date? THE WAIT IS TORTURE!

I understand your frustration and trust me there are several people in the same boat as you... Some of them were not even able to link their profiles to GC Key... So this is your 6th week basically and current processing times are 8 weeks. I would recommend next week to fill out an IRCC webform for Abu Dhabi to follow up. Just send like 1 webform for two-three days just to see if you can get a response.... I know classes are starting soon and we're all kind of waiting for some sort of outcome.... But literally there is nothing more to do rather than login everyday and wait for some sort of update...........


and to respond to your question, I applied on June 21 as well on paper. Linked my app online on June 25 with upfront medical. My medical showed passed on June 26 and then on June 28, it showed that you do not need a medical. I then got a request for medical on July 7. I had to submit a webform and contact IOM to have my medical linked. IOM didn't help much because they don't do another medical for at least a year. So eventually IRCC responded within a week (I was surprised). Medical showed passed on July 14. Now just waiting.......... So I am not sure how they did not see my medical as I submitted my Emedical along with my paper application. Usually I have heard medical requests are after and it seems to me they just requested a medical.... but I am not sure....

As far as I have seen in this forum, it might mean that you will be getting a medical request soon. I might be wrong, but I think saw it in one of the forums,,,,, hope for the best..

Hey guys,

I applied on May 30th and received my first Correspondence letter on July 22nd. Medical passed on July 11. Its been 2 months since I applied--should I submit an enquiry online or do you suggest I wait a little longer?

Just extremely stressed at this point.
