Its unfortunate for Pakistanis beacuse we deal with embassy in Abu dhabi so if Dubai opens up its vsf office then we will start getting decision as well

ask in group where r they from was their application sds or non ads and which office sent refusals Edmonton or some where else or their home country

Will i be able to obtain work permit after completion of certificate? I have opted for Media Fundamentals Certificate which is 36 credits course, which will start from sept 2020 and ends in april 2021, is almost 8 months long, will i be eligible for work permit after that?

Yes with 1 year study you will get 1 year work permit extension after study is completed. And with 2 years study you will get 3 years work permit extension. You also have a choice to do another year of study after you complete 1 year while you still in Canada. So try to go for 2 years of study which will get you 3 years work permit that will lead to PR.

You have not understood my question sir, my current course is media fundamental and is 8 month long and 36 credit hour. Will i still be eligible for work permit? I can't change the course and i am accepted.

I understood exactly what you said. And my answer explains it very well.
Let me say it again. 1 year study includes 2 semester. Each semester is 4 months long. ( 2 semester equals 8 months). It doesnt matter what your course is.
