Pakistani passport holders processing time under CEC

Ahh that sucks...don't worry..atleast your file is processing..after this request, hopefully u'll receive the Passport request next! Btw Didn't you get your PCC request on the 22nd Jan and you sent it out on the 25th February...y r they asking it again?

The PCC that I had been requested to submit were for Pakistan and UAE where i lived before I was 18...Now they need an RCMP check, We'll all get through this together Inshallah!

So another update- This is sort of a semi-positive one. At least shows me where I stand

I got my GCMS notes right now and here and update:

Eligibility: Passed
Medicals: Passed
Criminality: In Progress
Security: *blank* (This is because they do not declare what security measures are happening)


Overall, I think everything is good as last VO officer notes said to issue RPRF request to me and send a RCMP request as well.

I guess once that's in. I should be good to go.

Alhamdulillah! You cleared all the major hurdles. Criminality will be passed once they will get your RCMP so hang in there and book your tickets Inshallah soon you will be immigrant

Ohk...I lived in the UAE my whole life before I turned 18 but they haven't asked for any security clearance certificates from there yet...I thought if you lived in a country before you turned 18, they do not require PCC from those countries..I find it odd that they asked you for the PCC from Dubai and Pakistan even though you lived there before you turned 18...Were you below 18 when you came to Canada? I'm wondering if they will ask me for the same documents...And yeah the RCMP is usually requested at the start of the application processing..don't know why they are asking you for one now...It seems like even if a person is clear, they want to somehow find something from anywhere...this is disappointing...

They asked me for a PCC from UAE too, although I have never lived more than 6 months there at a stretch, I am in the process of obtaining it which in it self is a pain.... I was thinking I should go and get a RCMP check done as well, so that when they ask me for it in a months time I can submit it staright away.

I only visit Dubai once back in 2005 for only 5 weeks. I hope they won't ask pcc from uae

Moved to Canada when I was 19 so hence was in Dubai for a year, then Canada and now been back in Pakistan for 1.5 years. so hence they require all 3 police checks.

Any update for anyone..? I'm still yet to hear anything from CIC No RPRF Request received yet...Did my medicals on the 26th of Feb...

I am surprised you havent recieved your RPRF, I got mine but i guess my file will be slightly delayed as i still need to submit UAE PCC. btw CEC stopped sending out biodata. Its only the fees now

I know...I'm surprised myself...not sure why they didn't send it out..I'm pretty sure my noc codes and everything are fine. Almost everyone get's the RPRF request within 2 weeks of their medicals. Can't do anything but wait now. Ordered GCMS notes a couple of days back..hopefully they'll have some information.

Thanks for informing about the biodata info..I wasn't aware of that.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to inform you that I have gotten my passport request today! I am a Pakistani passport holder and surprisingly, the security checks did not take long for me! I am a guy aged 22 (turned 22 today lol) and I came to Canada when I was 17. I did not need to provide any police certificates from any country since I was below 18 when I came to Canada. Perhaps that's why my security got cleared faster..can't really say.

Hope you all get your passport request soon!
