Im a Canadian citizen sponsoring my wife from Pakistan.

So when I get my country specific checklist and forms for Pakistan, it states

  • For marriages which took place in Pakistan: The marriage certificate to be submitted is the “Nikkah Nama”. It must bear the Nikkah registry seal as evidence that the marriage has been properly registered by the union council or the relevant government authority in the relevant region. The NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) issued marriage certificate should be included but is not sufficient evidence on its own.
So I have my original Nikkah nama in Urdu, ive gotten it translated to English and I have my original NADRA Marriage certificate. All 3 of these have been also attested by the foreign office.

When I send my application package, do I need to send the originals OR do I send the photocopies of these 3 documents ?

originals for Nikkan nama in urdu and it's translation while color copy of Nadra registration are to be submitted. Attestation from foreign office was not neccessary but it doesn't really matter.

Thank you for the info. My NADRA marriage certificate is black and white originally. So I guess no need for the color.

So if I send the originals, when will they send the originals back to me ?
