Applied for my mother: 23rd June.
Biometric Request Letter: 25th June
Biometric Submitted: 29th June

Waiting for the next step. Background checks started on 25th june at the time of biometric request letter.

I am noticing changes in the details, yesterday and today morning, it was appearing as Updated, and when i opened details, there was no change and after that, when i opened application main page again, details column appears as Submitted.

Is it normal? I believe that whenever some activity is carried out on the file, details section change to updated and likewise.

Hello Every 1. I want to get some opinion from you guys. My parents are in Canada living in Quebec as permanent resident. My father is sick & can not travel. If i apply as visitor visa to visit my family for couple of weeks. How much chances of getting visa??
I am a banker having permanent job with salary 60 k+. I will get job letter & 3 weeks ex Pakistan leave from my employers.Have account balance of approx 7 to 8 lacs. I have no travel history yet.

Your kind opinion is required.

@ samk ...we all may applicants (early as 2nd may ) have been waiting and there are no updates yet for us.. so all june applicants relax and keep in mind a minimum of 90 days ..my advice will be dont plan or book anything before end september atleast. Good luck

Applied paper based from Lahore, Pakistan on 16 June 2017, got a message in my CIC account on 8 Aug 2017 that my application has been refused on the following grounds.

- travel history
- Personal assets and financial status
- I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated
purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.

Answer to their allegations:
I have very good travel history. Which includes 10+ UK visits. Several Schengen, UAE & KSA visits. Also USA & JAPAN visit
I don't have any personal assets as I am a student but I have good financial status. I earn $1000USD per month.
I currently have $8000USD cash in my bank account.

Hi All,

I applied for my mother on June 23, given biometrics on June 28, there was additional information request on July 17 for the proof of income of host and employment which was provided in 2-3 days, and today, 6th September, we got the Passport Request.
